LIST

INSTRUCTION

Figure 1 Module Information

This task requires us to work as a team to develop a digital business concept that relies on a website to operate successfully. We first need to create an original business idea and define its Unique Value Proposition (UVP) as well as the main goal of the website. After that, we will conduct competitor and target audience analysis to study the strengths and weaknesses of existing websites and understand the needs of the target users. In addition, we also need to plan the website structure, user experience, and overall visual style through a sitemap, core user flow, and mood board before moving into the coding stage.

PROCESS WORK

The lecturer divided us into groups of three, and each member in our group came up with their own business idea. After discussing together, we shortlisted three ideas: a concert tracker, an online closet, and a finance tracker. Finally, after further discussion with the lecturer, our group decided to choose the finance tracker as our final business concept.

FEEDBACK

Week 1

For Idea 1, it would be a big challenge for us because we cannot simply take content from other websites and place it on our own website, as this is not allowed and may violate the rights of other websites. Unless we provide links that redirect users to the original websites, it would still be difficult for us to synchronize concert information from all around the world. In addition, AI tools are unable to provide accurate information and data about upcoming events.

For Idea 2, it requires a very high level of technical skill to create and implement the website, which would be difficult for us to achieve with our current abilities.

For Idea 3, we can include more entertainment functions to attract users. The reward system also needs a more specific plan and detailed implementation in order to effectively motivate users to use our website.

Week 3

For our PPT, we should not include things that we are unsure. Everything written in the PPT must be very clear and fully understood, otherwise if we are asked questions during the presentation, we may not be able to explain it properly, which could affect people’s confidence in our website. When presenting, we should also highlight the strengths of our website and minimize or avoid mentioning any weaknesses. The goal is to let the audience clearly see the strongest features of our website without exposing its limitations. For our reward mechanism, we need to add more detailed explanations. Every element should be clearly described in detail to avoid confusion or misunderstandings for the developers during website development. We also need to include mock-up to better visualize and support our ideas.
